Hey Sis! Let's Talk Women's Conference 2025
The Hey Sis! Let's Talk Women's Conference took place on March 22, 2025. It was a day filled with breakout sessions and a panel discussion, all conducted to preserve a dialogue that encouraged individual and collective introspection and facilitated the creation of a communal environment that fostered open and challenging conversations. The central pillars of the conference encompassed leadership, health, finance, civics, and empowerment.
The breakout sessions covered a variety of topics relevant to each of these pillars. The opening session and leadership panel explored developing leadership skills, overcoming challenges, and owning one's journey. The health track included breakout sessions on sexual health, menopause, mindfulness, and mental well-being. The finance breakout session covered budgeting and investing. The civics track featured a breakout session on civic engagement and advocating as an elected official. The empowerment session focused on reconnecting women with their neglected passions, identifying unique strengths, and transforming aspirations into tangible outcomes.
The closing panel discussion brought together experts from each of the four pillars to discuss how attendees could work together to incorporate greater self-care and Hey Sis! support. The panelists included participants who shared their insights and experiences, and the audience had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in the conversation.
In addition to the breakout sessions and panel discussion, the conference also included:
A closeout with a Sister Oath led by Lisa Woodard, Justice of the Peace for Precinct 8, to affirm the attendees' commitment to sisterhood and support. Individual goodie bags that enhanced personal toolkits, focusing on sexual health and well-being. A space for community vendors to showcase their services and products. Aesthetic areas where attendees could capture their moments from the conference.
The conference was held at The Woman's Club of Fort Worth, a setting that held history, connected the community with resources, and embodied the femininity of womanhood.
